About Course

Classes 6–10 (Middle & Secondary Stage I, 11–15 years)

Objective: Develop logical thinking, coding skills, and project-based understanding of robotics.

Classes 6–8 (Exploratory Phase)

Program Summary:

  • Program Duration: Yearlong hands on course program.
  • Class Mode: Hybrid (Online / Offline)
  • Class Day: Week Day / Weekend Batch
  • Classes / Week: Once in a Week
  • Class Duration: 90 Minutes

Program Details Breakdown:

  • Components of Robots: Motors, sensors, controllers
  • Block-based Programming: Scratch, Blockly (Using www.code.org)
  • Building line-following robots
  • Use of breadboards and basic electronics
  • Microcontrollers: Intro to Arduino (using tinker cad)
  • Hands-on: Basic robotic arm
  • Sensor Integration: Obstacle avoidance using IR/Ultrasonic
  • Project: Smart dustbin / Light-following robot

What Will You Learn?

  • For Class 6-8 kids (typically 11-14 years old), a robotics course would involve:
  • Advanced Building: More complex mechanical designs, structures, and mechanisms.
  • Intermediate Programming: Transition from purely block-based to hybrid block/text coding (e.g., Python, Arduino IDE basics) for more control.
  • Sensor Integration: Deeper understanding and use of various sensors (light, sound, gyros, IR, encoders) and actuators (servos, more powerful motors).
  • Control Logic: Implementing conditional statements (if/else), more complex loops, and basic functions.
  • Problem-Solving & Design: Engaging in open-ended challenges, designing robots for specific tasks, and iterative prototyping.
  • Introduction to Robotics Concepts: Basic kinematics, calibration, and simple control theory.
  • Project-Based Learning: Working on larger, multi-session projects that integrate learned skills.
